Audit and advisory

Know what works, what will fail, and what it costs to fix.

A TNE audit shows the real state of your IT: equipment, network, security, power, backups and organisation. You get a report your managers can read and a costed action plan you can use straight away for your budget.

What we check

Area What we look at
Network Cabling, switches, IP plan, Wi-Fi coverage and speed, internet links and backup link
Servers and backups Hardware condition, capacity, backups: do they exist, and has anyone tested a restore?
Security Firewall, accounts and passwords, updates, antivirus, remote access, separate guest network
Power UPS units, real backup time, earthing, surge protection, generator
Computers and licences Inventory, age of equipment, licence status
Organisation Who manages what, existing documents, what happens when something fails

What you get

  • A report with each finding ranked by risk: critical, important, to watch.
  • A diagram of your network as it is today.
  • A costed action plan in order of priority, showing what can wait and what cannot.
  • A presentation of the results to your management, on site.

How long it takes

3 to 10 working days depending on the size of the site, from the visit to the report. We agree the time and price in a quote before we start.

Advisory services

  • IT master plan. A 3 to 5 year plan: what to buy, replace or hire, and in what order.
  • Project owner support. We write your specifications, review the bids you receive and check work delivered by other suppliers.
  • Cybersecurity audit. A focused review of access, accounts and how exposed your network is to the internet.

After the audit, the choice is yours.

The report belongs to you. You can give the work to TNE, to another supplier or to your own team. Our advice does not depend on what we sell.
